Hi Everyone!

It has been a couple of weeks and things are just still busy here at West Point. The school year is almost over. The Firsties, (seniors) are ready to get out of here and into the real Army. Everyone else is just looking forward to summer and no more school.

Last Thursday me and  few friends from the company were able to leave on Spirit Pass. Basically we get to leave, but we have to support a team that is having a competition. Army Tennis was playing at Annapolis, about and hour from my friends house so we decided to do it. It was a good weekend, and although Army Tennis lost to Navy we had a good time. It was pretty cool to walk around the Naval academy and see Annapolis. There are a lot of similarities and quite a few differences. The weather was great and everything went great. We had a lot of good food, laughs and fun.

Overall it was a great weekend, and now we are all getting ready for finals and the summer. 16 days.

Hi Everyone,
Another week down. As always there is lots of stuff going on here at West Point. This weekend there was the International Sandhurst competition. There were 56 teams from all over the world. 36 of the teams were Cadets from West Point. The rest were teams from England, Canada, Spain, Chile, China, and Australia. Plus a bunch of ROTC teams, the Naval Academy and Air Force Academy had teams and even good old USMAPS (prep school) sent up a team.
Sandhurst is basically a big training event. There are lots of different events to be completed for time and points. Boating, rappelling, obstacle courses, marksmanship, land nav, and lots of other stuff. All the teams did well and by all accounts it was a great event.

There are some of the teams out in front of the Mess Hall as they get a briefing before the competition. Our company did not win this year, but they did their best. This year the Aussies won it all. We will just have to wait till next year!

The week before we also had our class crest unveiling and it looks pretty awesome. We had a dinner with our sponsor and then they unveiled the crest. It was a big milestone for our class.

I was looking at the wrong camera!

Every class crest is different and I think the designers did a great job creating it.

First Post

Hi everyone!
This is the first post of hopefully many more to come. I know you most of you liked hearing via email about how I am doing at West Point. I think this has the potential to be a better venue and if you have friends and family who are interested in West Point send them this way they are more than welcome.

I can't believe it has almost been one year already. Time really flies. It might be April but the warm summer days are fast approaching. The sun has been beaming down as of late and its been great.

West Point is hosting around 30 teams of cadets from around the world who are here to compete in this years Sandhurst competition. It is pretty cool seeing them around West Point in their different uniforms. They seem to be enjoying the experience. Our company is hosting the team from Spain, of course there is only one question I ask them.....Barca or Real Madrid.

Class is almost over only about 5 weeks left. It has been a great semester so far and I look to finish strong. After school I have an action packed summer, but more on that later. If I am leaving out things you want to read about let me know and I will write about them!

That's all for now, thanks for reading!
